YouTube is big, and its influence is wide. So it's not a surprise that you might've started your channel because you've been inspired by another creator.
But this can lead you down to one of the biggest pitfalls for new creators. Comparison can become the death of passion.
It sets impossible standards for your channel and makes your achievements feel insignificant when compared to channels getting thousands or millions of views.
Worst of all, you're making a disservice to the (real) people who decided to click on your video and watch. Don't dismiss them as just numbers. These are people with limited time on their hand, and they chose to watch and subscribe to you.

For example, if you're a cooking channel that's been comparing yourself to one of the biggest cooking channel... you might've gotten 1,000 views on your video (which is huge!), but you're going to wonder why you didn't get more consider that Nick DiGiovanni often gets over 1M views.
