Letter-grade scores, stronger title suggestions, and a theme that matches YouTube
The Discovery and Search optimiser got a big upgrade. Your scores now carry a letter grade so you know when a title is already strong, each recommendation is a stronger version of your own title, and the panel's theme now follows YouTube.
Patch Improvements
Score grades. Your Discovery and Search scores now show a grade like A+ next to the number, so it's clear when a title is already strong. A great title rarely needs to hit 100%.
Stronger title suggestions. Each recommendation is now a stronger version of your own title, aimed at its weakest scores, with a one-tap Use this title that re-scores it instantly. Quick to go from a good title to a great one.
Live-score note. Each score panel now notes that the score is worked out live, so it can shift a little between checks. That is expected, not a glitch.
Theme that matches YouTube. Auto theme now follows YouTube's own light or dark setting, so the panel matches Studio even when your computer is set the other way.
Patch Bug Fixes
Longer ratings like 'Outstanding' no longer get clipped in either score panel.
Removed a confusing per-metric 'Suggestions' shortcut that could drop advice text into your title box.
Fixed the 'manage Upload Defaults' link on the Upload Assistant that would not open.

A warmer first run, and one-click Apply project
New creators get a welcoming Home that points them to their first win, you can push a whole project onto a YouTube video in one click, and a few things now say what they actually do.
Patch Improvements
A warmer first run. New creators land straight on a Home that welcomes them by name and connects their channel automatically, with one clear first move plus a quick-start set. No forced setup wizard - onboarding is there whenever they want it.
Apply project. One click on the YouTube edit page drops your saved project's title and description straight onto the video, so you stop copy-pasting between TubeSpanner and Studio.
Clearer names. AI Finesse is now Auto Description (it writes your description for you), and your saved descriptions are now Upload Defaults.
Gentle upgrade prompts where Pro unlocks more, including a way to add your own target viewers.
Patch Bug Fixes
Title suggestions now clear when you switch videos, so you never see the last video's titles.
You're no longer asked to connect a channel you've already connected.

Smarter descriptions, and projects that stay in sync
AI Finesse now writes you a finished description from the first click, your projects keep their scores and audience in sync as you work, and usage and limits are far clearer.
Patch Improvements
One-click AI descriptions. On the Upload Assistant, AI Finesse works from your very first click. With text already there it polishes what you have; with the box empty it picks the description from your saved library that best fits your video's title and target viewer and tailors it for this video, so you start from a finished draft, not a blank page.
Projects stay in sync. Re-analysing a title updates that project's Discovery and Search scores automatically, and opening a project carries its title, scores and target viewer straight back into the Optimise tabs.
Clearer usage and limits. Your account panel now shows every feature in one "Credits used" view, and when you reach a plan limit you get a clear upgrade prompt instead of a silent stop.
Optimize Video now works from your Discovery title rather than the file name, with tidier Generate Script placement across the Optimise tabs.
Report a bug. A new menu link to send us bugs quickly.
Patch Bug Fixes
Recent-title history is back in the Discovery and Search title fields, and clearer save messages throughout (an idea now confirms "Idea saved to projects").
Private and unlisted videos no longer show up in Video links.
Upload Assistant polish: cleaner input fields, consistent action buttons, an always-visible Tags field, and tidier layout and spacing.

POP Flow, plus a redesigned TubeSpanner
Our biggest update yet. POP Flow connects Plan, Optimise and Promote into one workflow, and the whole panel has been redesigned around it.
Patch Improvements
POP Flow. Plan, Optimise and Promote now work as one connected workflow around a single active project. The title and scores you build in Discovery and Search carry straight through to the Upload Assistant, so your work stays joined up as you move between tabs.
Redesigned navigation. The section menu is now a collapsible side rail you can show as icons only, or icons with labels, and your active project lives in the header, leaving more room for your work.
Upload Assistant, rebuilt to match the Discovery and Search tabs: a shared top bar with your title, target viewer and AI Finesse, a status strip carrying your Discovery and SEO scores with a one-line read, and a cleaner description builder for presets, smart links and video links.
One consistent icon set across the side rail, the floating toolbar and the in-page bar.
Patch Bug Fixes
Clearer, on-brand alerts and menus throughout the panel.
A more reliable Tags field, and tidier layout and spacing across the redesign.

Achievements polish and a steadier home tab
A small follow-up release: clearer Achievements, and a more robust home tab.
Patch Improvements
Achievements ordered by size. Within each category, milestones now sort largest first, and recently earned milestones show their real date. Where an older milestone cannot be dated accurately, we show a short celebratory note rather than a misleading date.
Patch Bug Fixes
Home tab: if the welcome video is not available to show (for example it is not public), the panel now falls back to the welcome message instead of a YouTube error.

Your work now flows around a project, end to end
This release introduces POP Flow: your title, scores and ideas now centre on an Active Project that follows the video you are working on, across Plan, Optimise and Promote. Every title you analyse is saved automatically and synced across the extension and the web app, and re-opening one brings its full result straight back with no re-analysing.
Patch Features
Active Project. The panel now shows the video you have open and lets you turn it into a project in one click. Your title, scores and ideas stay tied to it as you move between Plan, Optimise and Promote.
Automatic title-idea history, synced everywhere. Every title you analyse is saved to your title ideas automatically, available in both the extension and the web app, so you never lose a contender.
Instant restore of past analyses. Re-open a previously analysed title and its full result comes straight back, with no re-analysing. Faster, and the score will not drift a few points each time.
Save a chosen title to your project as its title, in one step.
Competitors: a new "Show" control lets you widen a thin trending list (Trending / More / All).
Patch Improvements
Plan / Optimise / Promote tabs are now ordered left to right to match the workflow.
Faster Search Explorer, and a clearer "Generate Script" position on the Discovery and Search score panels.
Patch Bug Fixes
Discovery and Search: applying a suggested title now scores it automatically, and the Analyse button no longer reverts the field to an earlier value.
The saved-titles list no longer truncates or loses entries.

Now on Safari, plus a panel-wide polish pass
TubeSpanner is now available on Safari for macOS through the Mac App Store, joining the existing Chrome, Firefox and Edge builds. Your account, channel data and tools sync across all of them. This release also lands a wide pass of interface fixes from a fresh new-user walkthrough.
Patch Features
TubeSpanner is now on Safari (macOS). The same side-panel toolkit you know from other browsers, available on the Mac App Store, with everything synced to your TubeSpanner account.
One consistent "target viewer" control everywhere. Every tool that asks who a video is for now uses the same label and shares your selection, so choosing an audience in one tool carries through to the others.
Prioritised Home status bar. Notices like trial reminders, feature-limit warnings and "reconnect your channel" prompts now appear in a single status bar that surfaces the most important one first, rather than stacking up.
Patch Improvements
Clearer guidance before a channel is connected. Tools that need your audience now explain what to do and link straight to channel setup, instead of showing an empty dropdown.
Better Share/Planner empty state. With no social accounts connected you now get a clear prompt to connect one, rather than a dead emoji button.
Competitors tab restyled onto the standard TubeSpanner look, replacing off-brand black frames and dividers.
Consistent Settings and account naming across the panel and menu.
Patch Bug Fixes
Status-message links now open in a new tab and keep you signed in, instead of navigating the panel away.
Projects tab now shows scores as clean whole-number percentages, and rows with no audience set show a clear placeholder instead of a blank.
Discovery and Search: the Analyse button now enables as soon as you have typed a title.
About panel: long release-note history now scrolls properly instead of overflowing.
Safari-specific: stay signed in after reloading a YouTube tab, achievement badges render correctly, and the toolbar icon reliably opens the panel.

Stability + permission gate audit
Behind-the-scenes release. The user-visible change is one bug fix to the Home tab feature-limit banner; everything else is hygiene that keeps existing features working as the backend cleans up some old endpoints.
Patch Improvements
Feature-limit banner is more accurate, the "feature limit reached" banner on the Home tab now only shows when you're genuinely close to or at a limit. Previously it could show at 30% usage, which was confusing on smaller bundles, the warning now appears at 80% with "approaching" wording and switches to "reached" wording at 100%.
Patch Features
None.
Patch Bug Fixes
Permission gates across the extension updated to point at the right backend endpoints. Achievements, Planner, Comments, SEO Homerun, and project views continue to work cleanly after the backend's renamed permissions roll out.
Removed an unused legacy thunk that referenced a backend endpoint which never existed. Internal hygiene with no user-visible change.

Home Tab Overhaul + Welcome Video Restored
Substantial visual refresh of the Home tab, every content card rebuilt with a cleaner layout, a richer hover preview, and tighter spacing. The welcome video panel is also working again on every account, after five months of silently rendering as a blank box.
Patch Improvements
Welcome video plays again, The latest channel video now plays directly from YouTube inside the welcome panel. Was rendering as a blank box on most accounts since the December 2025 home-tab redesign, the embed went through a Drupal wrapper page that browsers refused to iframe cross-origin. Fixed end-to-end (CMS + extension).
Content cards redesigned, Blog post and feature article cards (both the "Popular tools used by others" and "Recent content from TubeSpanner" rows) have been rebuilt. Title spans the top, body and image sit side-by-side beneath it, the Read button anchors to the bottom-left. Hovering the body now reveals a richer preview card with the full text, click anywhere on the preview to open the article in a new tab.
Tighter Home tab spacing, Top padding reduced on every section card, and the empty banner strip that used to sit above the welcome panel for accounts with nothing to announce no longer renders at all. Reclaims around 30 pixels of vertical space without losing breathing room.
Section heading consistency, "Your recently used tools" heading now matches the size of the other section headings on the Home tab. Previously the only outlier on the panel.
Patch Features
Recent content carousel, When more than three blog posts are available, the Recent content row paginates as a carousel rather than overflowing or capping at three. Previous / next controls + page indicator (1/3, 2/3, …).
Shuffled popular features, The "Popular tools used by others" row now shuffles which features it surfaces each load, so you get more variety across sessions rather than the same four items every time.
Live marketing portal feed, Blog and feature article rows now pull from the live www.tubespanner.com source on every install, with caching defeated end-to-end so new posts appear immediately rather than after a 24-hour delay.
Patch Bug Fixes
Toolbox tool tiles now use the same icon source as the Home tab tool cards, the same tool was rendering with different icons in different places.
Discovery Optimiser, Search Explorer, and Lexitronics now match the latest API shapes again.
SEO search row: spacing and styling polish across the row.
Blog and feature titles with ampersands, quotes, and other HTML entities now render as the actual character rather than the escape sequence (e.g. "Spam & Bot Blocker" now reads "Spam & Bot Blocker").

Brand-voice polish + first automated release
Small follow-up to v6.0.9.6. The About modal punctuation in the "What's new" section is cleaned up, the menu rename and scroll-to-top behaviour that almost missed v6.0.9.6 are now in, and behind the scenes this is the first release shipped through the new automated release pipeline (one command builds both browsers, publishes the patch notes to the marketing site, and uploads to the stores).
Patch Improvements
- About modal release notes, the in-extension "What's new" panel now reads release notes from the live tubespanner.com source rather than a frozen in-extension list, so future updates surface here automatically.
- "Membership" menu label, renamed from "Memberships" for consistency with the rest of the navigation.
- Title suggestions scroll-to-top, applying a suggested title from the Search Explorer panel now scrolls the panel back to the top so the change to the title field is visible without manual scrolling.
